4. DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS

104
QCR The travel distance of circular interpolation in cutter compensation C is
judged:
0 : In the FS0 (FS16) format.
1 : In the FS15 format.
FS0 (FS16) and FS15 determine the travel distance in different ways if the
radius of arc at the start point of circular interpolation is different from that
at the end point (if the end point is not on the arc). By this parameter, the
method of determining the travel distance of circular interpolation can be
selected.
BC
D
Start point
End point
Center
If the end point viewed from the start point is
in the A region, the movement is made along
the shortcut. If the end point is in the B, C,
or D region, almost a single turn is made.
A
[FS0 (FS16) format]
B
Start point
End point
Center
If the end point is in the A region separated
by the line L drawn between the start point
and the center, the movement is made along
the shortcut. If the end point is in the B re-
gion, almost a single turn is made.
A
[FS15 format]
NOTE
The setting of this parameter determines the travel distance
determination method for circular interpolation not during
cutter compensation C as well. Accordingly, if this
parameter is set, the setting of bit 3 (CQD) of parameter No.
3450 is invalid.
