There was an insufficient point to explain about “FS16i/18i Spindle synchronous control with any
spindle
” announced in the private show of FANUC and JIMTOF in 1998. So we explain in addition
about this as follows.
Spindle synchronous control is possible with any combination but,
“In multi-path control system, Spindle synchronous control can be used only
between the spindles in the same path.”
If you want to use Spindle synchronous control between the spindles in the different path in multi-path
control system, take the following methods. (T-system only)
1. Use the usual Spindle synchronous control (parameter No.3704#4=0). In this time,
Spindle synchronous control is available between the first spindles in the different path.
2. Connect the spindles that execute Spindle synchronous control to the same path, and
when you use the spindle from another path, use the Spindle command select signals
and Spindle feedback select signals. (Refer to the “FS16i/18i CONNECTION
MANUAL(FUNCTION) 9.4 SPINDLE SPEED CONTROL FOR TWO-PATH LATHE”)
