2.3.5 System Software Protection (Display Unit)
Usually it is not required to save or delete system software like NC BASIC and others. Moreover, in
standard mode, it is not possible to save a system software file onto a memory card or to delete a
system software file by using the standard Boot Menu.
In case of an emergency, where a CNC-Unit must be replaced and system software must be
deleted, an extended Boot Menu must be selected. For this the most-right soft key together with
seventh key counted from right side must be pressed during power-on of the CNC:

With this setting it is possible to save or to delete system software files.
Moreover it is possible to erase the complete FROM by Item FLASH ROM INITIALIZE.
Note: When the FROM is initialized, the CNC will not boot-up again unless the system data is
loaded.
Usually this action is only required, when the FROM/SRAM Module has been exchanged.
