1. Outline
In outer of the shutter unit, the absorber unit, and LD unit of laser C1000-E, C2000-E and
C4000-E for CE Marking, there are the safety cover for the shading of direct light and/or
indirect light that it is visible and/or is invisibility.
We obtained the opinion with "The safety cover of a simple type can be attested compared
with a present type." from the safety attestation organization.
We report changing from the present safety cover to the simple type safety cover adopted
for laser C5000-E and C6000-E for the maintainability improvement.

3. Detail of changed content
The structure of the safety cover for CE Marking was changed to the simple type safety
cover adopted for laser C5000-E and C6000-E. Please refer to the next page for externals
of the safety cover.
The present safety cover: This type shades all of he shutter unit, the absorber unit,
and LD unit.
The simple safety cover: This type shades between the shutter unit and the
absorber unit.
4. Confirmation after the transportation
The beam flange of the safety cover for CE Marking is fixed with a small space 2 exists
between the beam cover pipe installed in output mirror holder. At installation after the
transportation, check whether the interference with the beam flange and the beam cover
pipe, and loosening of beam flange installation bolt 1. Please adjust, and tighten when
there are interference or loosening. (Please refer to page 4.)
5. Attention in maintenance (At the alignment)
The beam flange of the safety cover for CE Marking is fixed with a small space 2 exists
between the beam cover pipe installed in output mirror holder. You should adjust the
optical axis of the resonator after loosening bolt 1 when you maintain laser. After the
alignment, you should adjust to keep a small space 2 between the hole of beam flange
and the beam cover pipe. And, please keep a small space 2, and fix the beam flange with
bolt 1. When you do not loosen bolt 1, you cannot adjust the beam mode correctly by
interfering with the beam flange and the beam cover pipe.
