3. Calibration cycles
These calibration cycles measure and calculate the correct data for a probe by using the
ring gauge, and output these data to some macro variables. The measuring cycles are
executed by using them.
Calibration cycles measure two times at one measuring point. The first measurement is
performed in order to confirm the position of a measuring point. The second is in order to
get calibration data at the correct position that was confirmed by the first measurement.
Note ) Please be sure to set the ring gage on the machine table and move the probe
right over the ring gage before executing the calibration cycles.
3-1. Probe length calibration (G170)
This is a menu for calibrating a probe length.
Create ISO code program in the following form.

: Distance for movement
Input the distance from the measuring start point to the ring gauge.

: Distance from gauge line to table
Input the distance from the spindle gauge line to the machine table.

: Ring gauge height
Input the height of the ring gauge.

: Feed rate for movement
Input the feed-rate for movement on measuring.
