5.4.9 CTR

CTR
• C (Counter) address that is used for preset and work of the instruction is specified by
counter number.
• UPDOWN signal specifies whether the counter is up counter or down counter
• CN0 signal specifies the initial value of counter is 0 / 1.
• Counter data type in system parameter specifies whether the counter is processed by BCD
or decimal.

• Conversion tool cannot decide whether UPCTR or DNCTR is appropriate because it is
impossible to tell the contents of UPDOWN signal when conversion.
User’s operations to
finish conversion
Please replace with UPCTR or DNCTR.
• Appropriate reference must be defined to PV and work address of UPCTR/DNCTR
because there is no reference correspond to C (Counter) address.
Please note the followings.
• Minimum value of UPCTR/DNCTR is always 0. Therefore, these function cannot process
similar to CTR with CN0 is 1.
• UPCTR/DNCTR cannot process as ring counter. Therefore, behavior of these functions is
different when the counter exceeds preset value.
