Although a rotary table is used as an example here, periodical secondary pitch
error compensation can be used in the same way when the machine is moved
along a linear axis using a gear.
For example, in a configuration such as that shown in Fig 1.1(c), stored pitch
error compensation is used for the compensation for the pitch error of the
drilling screw and periodical secondary pitch error compensation is used for
the compensation for the pitch error of toothed wheel A.
