The MDI units can be connected to each LCD unit, and the effective one is
selected by the signal MDISL<G0408.3>. When the 1st MDI is selected, the
PCMCIA port on the 1st LCD unit is available. The PCMCIA port is not

Selection of MDI unit
The effective MDI unit is selected by the signal MDISL<G408.3>. The
selected side of MDI and soft-keys become effective and key operations are
available. However, if an memory card, or ethernet card etc. is inserted in the
slot of the 1st LCD unit, the 2nd LCD unit cannot be selected by the signal.
When in BOOT or IPL operations, 1st MDI is available whether the signal
DISL selects 1st MDI or not.

Notes
- The PCMCIA port is mounted on the 1st LCD unit.
- If the 2nd MDI unit is selected, the PCMCIA port is not available.
