starting X- axis and Y-axis. For this situation, a retraction limit position can be set in the
parameter No.15843. The value of parameter No.15843 should be set to keep retraction
distance and not to make OT alarm. Fig.2 shows a concept of Z-axis locus when Z-axis is
retracted and approaches from near the surface of workpiece. When the position of starting
X-axis and Y-axis is defined near the surface of workpiece and Z-axis starts to be the
retracted and approach from below that position, Z-axis is retracted according to the set
value in parameter No.15842. When Z-axis reaches the position set in parameter No.15842,
Z-axis starts to decelerate and stops.
Fig. 3 shows a concept that retraction end position determined by each set value and start
position of Z-axis is higher than the position set in parameter No.15843. If Z-axis is
retracted from position "A" according to the set value of parameter No.15842, an OT alarm
will happen. So, preventing from the OT alarm, the retract movement of Z-axis is limited by
set value in parameter No.15843. Z-axis moves according to the set value of parameter
No.15842, but CNC decelerate the Z-axis to make the Z-axis velocity to zero when Z-axis
reaches the position set in parameter No.15843. And Z-axis starts to approach when the rest
of the movement of the basis axis.
But, if the parameter No.15840#7 is set to "1", Z-axis does not wait until the rest of the basis
