1. OVERVIEW
When you perform rigid tapping with 2-path lathe (2-CPU 2-path or 1-CPU 2-path lathe) or 3-path
lathe, you can perform rigid tapping using the spindle connected to a path other than that with which
rigid tapping is specified.
This requires a serial spindle. (An analog spindle cannot be used.)
2. SPECIFICATIONS
2.1 USAGE
By setting SPR (bit 4 of parameter No. 3703) to 1, you can specify that the spindle of a certain path is
to follow the rigid tapping commands for a specific path by selecting spindle command selection
signal in the same way as for the S command for 2- or 3-path lathe.
The following spindle command selection signals are available:
2-path lathe: SLSPA<G063#2> (for the spindle of path 1)
and SLSPB<G063#3> (for the spindle of path 2)
3-path lathe: SLSPA
#1
<G0063#2> and SLSPB
#1
<G0063#3>
(for the spindle of path 1)
SLSPA
#2
<G1063#2> and SLSPB
#2
<G1063#3>
(for the spindle of path 2)
SLSPA
#3
<G2063#2> and SLSPB
#3
<G2063#3>
(for the spindle of path 3)
If a multi-spindle option is provided, you can not only select a path but also specify which spindle of
the path to use to perform rigid tapping.
For details of the spindle command selection signals, multi-spindle control, and rigid tapping, refer to
other appropriate manuals such as the Connection Manual (Functions).
