2.2 RESTRICTIONS
A spindle command selection signal must be set correctly before a rigid tapping command can be
issued.
Note the following restrictions:
<1> The path with which to specify rigid tapping and the spindle with which to perform rigid
tapping must have a one-to-one correspondence.
<2> Before using this function to perform rigid tapping using the spindle of another path, you
must place the spindle with which to perform rigid tapping in spindle control mode.
If, in spite of these notes, you input a spindle command selection signal wrong, i.e., in any of
the following cases, alarm P/S 205 will occur at rigid taping.
- The spindles of multiple paths select the rigid tapping command for the same path.
- No spindle is selected for the path with which rigid tapping is specified.
- The spindle used with rigid tapping is in a mode other than spindle control mode.
(That is, it is in a mode such as Cs contour axis, spindle synchronization, spindle simple
synchronization, and rigid tapping)
This function does not support the function for specifying a spindle on multi-spindle equipment with a
program P code (parameter No. 3703#3 MPP). If using this function (parameter No. 3703#4 SPR =
1), set MPP (bit 3 of parameter No. 3703) to 0.
