5. CAUTIONS
- This function is effective only if you use a serial spindle on 2- or 3-path lathe.
- If you are to perform rigid tapping with the spindle of another path, the spindle command selection
signal (SLSPA, SLSPB<G063#,3#4>) must be set before a rigid M code (M29) is issued. Be sure
to set it before a rigid tapping M code is issued, by using, for example, an M code without buffering
(see the explanations of parameters Nos. 3411 and after).
- If you perform rigid tapping with the spindle of another path, the ENB signal shifts to the path in
accordance with the spindle. Bear this in mind if using the ENB signal of the spindle in the rigid
tapping cancellation sequence.
- If you are to perform rigid tapping with the spindle of another path in 2-spindle control (No.
3703#0 = 1), switch the spindle command selection signal (SLSPA, SLSPB<G063#,3#4>) of that
spindle to another path even if you do not perform rigid tapping with the spindle of the path with
which you have specified rigid tapping. If you do not want to receive the S command of another
path, you can maintain the speed of a certain command by using the multi-spindle function.
