2.4 Spindle control by servo motor
The servo motor can be rotated in the rotating speed specified by the input
signal.
• Spindle control mode
The servo motor becomes spindle control mode by making Servo-Spindle switch
signal SVSP '1', and the servo motor rotates in the rotating speed specified by the
signal. Spindle control mode signal SVSPM becomes '1' in spindle control mode.
When Servo-Spindle switch signal SVSP is made '0', the spindle control mode is
released. At this time, signal SVSPM becomes '0'.
Note
As for the spindle control mode inside, the coordinates value is not updated.
Therefore, the relation between coordinates value and an actual machine position
is lost.
• Method of specifying rotating speed
The rotating speed of the servo motor in spindle control mode is specified by the
rotating speed control signal SVR01I-SVR12I. Please input the value obtained
by the undermentioned formula by the binary.

Moreover, the rotating direction of the motor is specified by signal SVGN.
• Acceleration and Deceleration
When the spindle control mode is turning on or off, or signal SVR01I-SVR12I
changes, the de-and acceleration is done by the time constant of parameter
No.3843. The spindle control mode acc/deceleration completion signal SVAR
becomes '1' when the de-and acceleration is completed and motor speed becomes
a stationary state.

position coder of the spindle.
