1 Outline
Usually, the linear type positioning (G00) is used at the rapid traverse of an
extract motion when machining, especially drilling and tapping machining, on
the tilted plane.
At the linear type positioning, in order to keep the straight line, it is necessary to
use a constant time acc./dec. at rapid traverse (parameter No.1603#4=1) and set
the same time constants for all axes. (If the time constants are not the same,
interference between tool and workpiece may occur.)
In this case, it is necessary to set the time constant according to the time
constant of the axis with minimum acceleration ratio. Therefore, an idle time
may occur at the acceleration and deceleration.
By using this function, even if the different time constant is set for each axis, an
acceleration/deceleration with optimal time constant, which does not exceed an
allowable acc./dec. ratio for each axis, is calculated according to the rapid
traverse feedrate and commanded movement value for each axis. Therefore, the
cycle time of the machining may be shortened with keeping the straight line.
This function is an optional function.
