CNC does not check the interference of the surface which was surrounded by the dotted line in the
above figure. The specifying in the surface of the dotted line is due to the setting of the shape of the
following tool post.
(2) Setting of a distance between the tool post machine reference points
Set the relative position between two machine reference points of tool posts for three coordinate
axes. The unit of the setting value is the unit of the machine coordinate value and the setting value
is the distance from tool post 1 ( or 2 ) to tool post 2 ( or 3 ). Set the axial relative position ( i,ii, and
iii) in the following figure for each tool post and set these relative positions for three tool posts.

(3) Setting of shape of tool post
One tool post is shown by a maximum of three rectangular parallelepipeds. One rectangular
parallelepiped is specified by an offset position from the machine reference point ( In the following
figure, set the offset position of (i) from the machine reference point and the offset position (ii) from
the machine reference point. ) As for the surface of the side which was specified by the parameter
which is vertical to the facing axis which contains point (i), interference checking is not done. This
is common to all of the rectangular parallelepipeds which compose tool post.

In the example of the left figure, the
specifying of the surface which does not
check in the interference is the side of
the negative ( of the facing axis ).
