Units can be connected in the same way, regardless of whether you are
connecting the basic module to an extension unit or connecting two
extension units. Connect the units by using 34–pin flat cable connectors
as shown in the figure below. Ensure that all 34 pins at one end of the cable
are connected to the corresponding pins at the other end; e.g., connect the
A1 pin to the pin having the same designation (A1) at the other end.
