17. HIGH–SPEED
CUTTING FUNCTIONS
166
This function is designed to enable high–speed, high–precision axis
operation. With this function, delay due to acceleration/deceleration and
delay in the servo system that increase with an increasing feedrate can be
suppressed.
This function allows the tool to trace a specified value precisely, thus
leading to a minimum path error.
This function is enabled when the look–ahead feed–forward control mode
is set. For details, refer to the relevant manual issued by the machine tool
builder.
G08 P_
P1: Look–ahead feed–forward control mode on
P0: Look–ahead feed–forward control mode off
In the look–ahead feed–forward control mode, the cutting feed
pre–interpolation linear acceleration/deceleration function is
automatically enabled. For details of the cutting feed pre–interpolation
linear acceleration/deceleration function, refer to ”Connection Manual
(Function) (B–63173EN–1).”
The look–ahead feed–forward control mode can also be cancelled by a
reset.
Be sure to specify G08 in a block specifying no other codes.
In the look–ahead feed–forward control mode, the functions listed below
cannot be specified. Before specifying these functions, turn off the
look–ahead feed–forward control mode once. After specifying these
functions, turn on the look–ahead feed–forward control mode again.
D Rigid tapping function D Feed per revolution
D Manual handle interruption D Simple synchronous control
D Polar coordinate interpolation D Feed stop
D High–speed skip D Constant surface speed control
D Interruption type custom macro D Small–hole peck drilling cycle
D Skip cutting D G28 (Low–speed reference position return)
D Electronic cam
In the high–speed response mode, the look–ahead feed–forward control
function cannot be used.
