1. Outline
1.1 System configuration
This manual describes the synchronous spindle motor drive based on the assumption of following configuration.
[Without SSM]
[With SSM]
(1) If your motor drive is different from this configuration, take care whether it is matter or not.
(2) The motor sensor should be equivalent to BZi / CZi sensor, that is sinusoidal signals A/B phase of 1Vpp.
(3) The three following function are not available for Synchronous spindle motor at this time.
Spindle switching control.
Speed range switching function
Unexpected disturbance torque detection function.
1.2 Applicable SPM
The following SPM are applied for driving Synchronous Spindle motor. If CNC is 30i, spindle software 9D70
(#H570) must be mounted on SPM.
(1) In case of αi series SPM without SSM
SPM Type-A, B: A06B-611x-Hxxx#H553 (or #H570) ; 200V line
SPM Type-A, B: A06B-612x-Hxxx#H553 (or #H570) ; 400V line
Spindle software 9D53, 9D70
(2) In case of αi series SPM with SSM
SPM Type-B: A06B-6112-Hxxx#H553 (or #H570) ; 200V line
SPM Type-B: A06B-6122-Hxxx#H553 (or #H570) ; 400V line
Spindle software 9D53/B (or later), 9D70/A (or later)

Caution
For the protection to SPM and spindle motor, you must consider about the item and paramete
with mark and it should be execute correctly.
Unless these points, the protection to SPM and spindle motor may be lost and it causes the
broken of SPM or spindle motor.
