- The moving distance of the rotation axis is large compared to that of the linear axis
If the moving distance of the rotation axis is large compared to that of the linear axis,
the rotation axis moves faster so that the tool center point moves at the specified
speed, possibly resulting in the tool center point traveling on an inadequate path.
In such a case, it is possible to exert control to slow down the speed and ensure that
the tool center point travels on the specified path, by setting parameter SUP
(No.19696#7) to 1. When using this control, specify in parameter No.19745 the
extent of deviation of the path at which the speed is to be slowed down (maximum
allowable deviation of the path). When 0 is specified, the least input increment is
regarded as the maximum allowable deviation of the path.
The extent of deviation of the path can be set for cutting and rapid traverse separately,
by setting parameter CRS (No.19746#6) to 1.
When using this control in rapid traverse, the rapid traverse feedrate decreases so
that the extent of deviation of the path is less than the parameter No.19751 setting
value.
When using this control in cutting, the cutting feedrate decreases so that the extent of
deviation of the path is less than the parameter No.19752 setting value.
- Angle check of rotation axes at mode start
The angles of two rotation axes at starting tool center point control for 5-axis
machining can be set in parameters.
When tool center point control for 5-axis machining is started at the angles which are
different from the parameter (No.19747 and No.19748) setting values, the alarm
PS5423 occurs.
- Tool behavior at start and cancellation
Compensation vector calculation is performed only at the end of a block.
- Current position display during tool center point control
For a machine coordinate system during tool center control, the position of the control
point is displayed.
In the case of the parameter WKP (No.19696#5) = 0, absolute or relative coordinates,
is selected by parameter DET (No.19608#2) as follows.
If parameter DET (No.19608#2) = 0, the position of the tool center point in the
programming coordinate system is displayed .
If parameter DET (No.19608#2) = 1, the position of the tool center point in the work
coordinate system is displayed.
