1) Set the I/O address of the interface board. (This step applies to the
boards for the ISA bus only.)
For an interface board for the ISA bus, its I/O address must be set
before installation. Referring to Section 6.4 on setup switches, set an
I/O base address that is not in the I/O address range occupied by the
customer control unit and its ISA expansion board.
If installing multiple HSSB interface boards in a single customer
control unit (multi–HSSB connection), the I/O base address of each
board must be unique.
For the boards for the PCI bus, this step is not required.
2) Insert the interface board into the ISA or PCI connector as far as it can
go.
3) Secure the board.
NOTE
To secure the interface board, use the brackets supplied
with the interface board on the control unit of the MTB. The
brackets supplied with the interface board conform to the
”EISA SPECIFICATION Version 3.12.”
