ERROR CODES (SERIAL SPINDLE)
NOTE*1
The SVPM indicates an error code as a 2–digit number in
STATUS1 when the yellow LED is on. Error codes appear
in CNC diagnostic data No. 712.
When the red LED is on, the SVPM indicates the number of
an alarm generated by the serial spindle, providing a
different meaning from when the yellow LED is on.
³ See “Alarms (Serial Spindle).”
SVPM
STATUS1
indica-
tion(*1)
Description Faulty location and remedy
01 When neither *ESP (emergency stop signal; there
are two types of signals: input signal and SVPM
contact signal(*2)) nor MRDY (machine ready sig-
nal) is input, SFR (forward rotation command),
SRV (reverse rotation command), or ORCM
(orientation command) is input.
Check the *ESP and MRDY sequences. For MRDY, pay
attention to the parameter setting (bit 0 of parameter No.
4001) regarding the use of the MRDY signal.
03 When the parameter settings are made not to use
the position sensor, meaning that position control
is not performed (bits 3, 2, 1, 0 of parameter No.
4002 = 0, 0, 0, 0), a Cs contour control command
is input. In this case, the motor is not excited.
Check the parameter settings.
04 When the parameter settings are made not to use
the position sensor, meaning that position control
is not performed (bits 3, 2, 1, 0 of parameter No.
4002 = 0, 0, 0, 0), a servo mode (such as rigid tap-
ping or spindle positioning) command or spindle
synchronization control command is input. In this
case, the motor is not excited.
Check the parameter settings.
05 When an option parameter is not set for the orienta-
tion function, ORCM (orientation command) is in-
put.
Check the parameter settings for the orientation function.
06 When the output switching control function is not
used, the low–speed winding is selected (RCH =
1).
Check the power line status signal (RCH).
07 When a Cs contour control command is input, SFR
(forward rotation command) or SRV (reverse rota-
tion command) is not input.
Check the sequence.
08 When a servo mode (such as rigid tapping or
spindle positioning) control command is input, SFR
(forward rotation command) or SRV (reverse rota-
tion command) is not input.
Check the sequence.
09 When a spindle synchronization control command
is input, SFR (forward rotation command) or SRV
(reverse rotation command) is not input.
Check the sequence.
10 When a Cs contour control command is input,
another mode (servo mode, spindle synchroniza-
tion control, or orientation) is specified.
During execution of a Cs contour control command, do
not specify another mode. Before entering another
mode, cancel the Cs contour control command.
11 When a servo mode (such as rigid tapping or
spindle positioning) command is input, another
mode (Cs contour control, spindle synchronization
control, or orientation) is specified.
During execution of a servo mode command, do not
specify another mode. Before entering another mode,
cancel the servo mode command.
