Tool life management
The compound machining function has two command modes which
are a turning mode and a milling mode. Tools for turning and milling
are housed in a common magazine. Therefore, both kinds of tools
have to be managed in the same tool life management function.
The tool management is started by T code because a tool is changed
by only T code in current T system. However, in the machine with
ATC, T code is used for specifying the position of magazine and the
actual tool change is done by M06.
The tool life management of M06 can started by the parameter setting
(No.13001#0 TM6=1) in the turning mode.

Specifications
Tools are classified into various groups, with the tool life (time or
frequency of use) for each group being specified. The function of
accumulating the tool life of each group in use and selecting and
using the next tool previously sequenced in the same group, is called
the tool life management function.
This function manages the life of tools grouped into several types.
And, a new tool is selected after tool life runs out.
The data in order to manage tool life come from tool group number, a
tool, and tool life with their group. Their data are input to CNC.
