TYPES OF MACHINING
PROGRAMS

NOTE
When non–zero data is input as the chamfering amount, a
chamfering process is automatically created, as shown
below.
JSTART PNT X: X coordinate of the retraction position between
machining portions
Z : Z coordinate of the retraction position between
machining portions
Groove depth
(Radius)
Passing point 2
Grooving clearance
(parameter 9855:GRDCL)
X–coordinate of the groove start point
STAT–PX : X coordinate of the machining start point
Actually, cutting feed starts at a position distant
from the start point by an amount equal to the
clearance specified with parameter No. 9855
(GRDCL).
DEPTH : Depth of cut in milling
MIL–DIA : Maximum diameter of the end mill tool to be
used
NOTE
In automatic tool selection, a side face end mill tool whose
nominal diameter is smaller than or equal to a specified
groove diameter is selected. The C–axis milling width is no
larger than the width of the tool being used. Therefore, the
actual milling width may be smaller than the specified end
mill tool diameter.
TOOL–NO : ID number of the side face end mill tool
