
2.3 Operation
By specifying the rigid tapping command in three-dimensional coordinate conversion mode,
tapping can be executed in the direction of the angle programmed by the three-dimensional
coordinate conversion command.
For details of each function, refer to “FANUC Series 16/l 8-TC(l6i/l8i-TA) Three-dimensional
coordinate conversion Specification” or “FANUC Series 16/l 8-TC( 16i/l8i-TA) OPERATOR’S
MANUAL”.
3. Notes
(1) This function is needed the three-dimensional coordinate conversion and the rigid tapping
option.
(2) In the three-dimensional rigid tapping, the following function cannot be executed:
l Simple synchronous control
(3) In three-dimensional coordinate conversion mode, “Position Error Z”, displayed on the spindle
adjustment screen, is taken from the longitudinal tapping axis after three-dimensional
conversion_
(4) Positioning in three-dimensional coordinate conversion mode must be linear interpolation
positioning (the LPR bit(bit 1 of parameter No.1401) is set to 1).
