12.5 LASER OUTPUT COMMANDS
This section explains output commands.
12.5.1 Specifying an Active Register Number
To perform machining, it is necessary to specify which of the eight
execution priority registers to use: Specify the register before the start
of beam output. The register selected for beam output is called the
active register. The active register may be specified either by
registering it on the execution priority register screen or in the
following command format:
E_ ; (register-number)
Specify the number of the register to become active.
This E code may be specified either independently or with G24 or a
cutting feed command (G01, G02, or G03). It may be specified at any
position in a machining program.
12.5.2 Cutting Machining Output Command
Specifying the active register number with the E code and executing a
cutting feed command (G01, G02, or G03) turns the beam to turn on
according to the execution priorities registered in the specified
register. Upon the completion of cutting feed, the beam is turned off.
To perform cutting machining, usually set -1 as the output counts in
the execution priority register to use. The reason for this is that if -1 is
set as the output counts, the output will be continuous, so that the
beam is turned on and off with a cutting feed command.
