2.1 MOUNTING COIL SLIDERS
Mounting surface of a coil slider
NOTE
The surface of a coil slider used for mounting onto
the machine is predetermined. If the surface of a
coil slider used for mounting onto the machine is
incorrect, the linear motor does not operate
normally.
2.1.1 Mounting Surface Precision on the Machine Side
As a guideline, the machining precision of the mounting surface on
the machine side should not exceed 50 µm for both roughness and
undulation.
NOTE
It is recommended that the entire mounting surface
be used basically to mount the coil slider onto the
machine. When it is mounted using only the areas
near mounting bolts to reduce the weight through
material removal of the mounting surface, be
careful not deform the coil slider more than 0.1 mm
due to motor operation or expected impacts.
