
3.1.2.5 Creating bootable USB-Memory Stick for Client-Computer
To be able to boot-up a client computer (Panel i) over an USB memory stick with specific network
card driver, it is necessary to follow the steps in the chapter below.
3.1.2.5.1 Prepare Memory Stick
There are several methods to make a memory stick bootable. One of the most convenient is the
usage of the HP USB disk format tool. Together with MS-DOS system files, it makes memory
sticks booting in DOS. The preparations shall be done on an office PC, which has a Floppy Disk
Drive, an USB port and access to the Internet.
1. Prepare the MS-DOS system files IO.SYS, MSDOS.SYS, COMMAND.COM. This can be a
boot floppy or saved system files on hard disk. Boot floppy images can be found on
www.bootdisk.com
.

2. Download an USB disk format tool from the Internet. In example, the HP USB tool.
