Maximum velocity is calculated by the limit of the output/input signal’s frequency or the
mechanical limit of a scale.
This circuit is applied for the linear encoder basically.
The encoder maker is responsible for the performance and guarantee of the encoder.
Please inquire the details of the encoder maker.
(5) Alarms
Linear Motor Position Detection Circuit C(Circuit-C) detects the following alarms in
addition to usual ones.
1. In Circuit-C, Absolute Position Data (APD) is calculated rightly when the 3
rd
or 4
th
reference mark is detected continuously after power-on. PMAL (Pulse Miss ALarm) is
detected when APD cannot be calculated rightly because of some reasons, for example,
the error of A/B phase counter.
2. In Circuit-C, APD is calculated on every reference mark even after it could calculate
rightly first. It is checked if the accumulated absolute position data from A/B phase
signals and APD calculated using distance-coded reference marks are the same or not. If
they are not the same continuously 3 times, PMAL occurs. PMAL on this condition is
controlled by “SW3” on PCB. Please refer to page 16 for details of it.
