3.2.4.1 Vacuum tube connection

Prepare the following parts:

• Pt screwed pipe fittings (elbow) :

(included in the fittings kit (A04B-0816-K354))

• Tube :

(included in the connection kit (A04B-0816-K130))

• Union :

(included in the fittings kit (A04B-0816-K354))

• Adapter (straight thread) :

(included in the fittings kit (A04B-0816-K354))

• Gasket :

(included in the fittings kit (A04B-0816-K354))

(1) Connection on the oscillator side

Apply a sealing agent (Shin-Etsu silicone Chemical Co. LTD

(KE3497W) recommended) to the threaded portion of the elbow

fittings (Pt screw), then connect the fittings to the "GAS PUMP"

port on the beam output side.

(2) Connection on the vacuum pump side

Connect the union, adapter, and gasket to the port on the oil level

window side on the top of the pump. At this time, check the

materials of the ferrules in the union.

Tube side : Nylon ferrule

Adapter side : Brass ferrule

(3) Connection of the tube

When attaching the tube to the oscillator and exhaust pump,

insert the tube all the way through the fittings, and fasten a box

nut with a wrench. (For how to fasten the nut, see Appendix G.)

Note that the minimum bending radius of the tube is 75 mm.

3.2.4.2 Power cable connection

Attach one end of the cable to the terminal block on the rear side

(black body side) of the exhaust pump and the other end to the

terminal block in "PUMP" on the beam output side of the oscillator.

When attaching the cable to the oscillator, insert a code bushing onto

the cable for protection from dust. (The cable is included in the

connection kit (A04B-0816-K130).)
