In order to avoid malfunction caused by overheat, Power Mate i has
two fans.
When one of the two fans stops, the warning message, “FAN”, will be
displayed on CRT or LCD. And the fan alarm signal FANAL1
<F248#5>, or FANAL2 <F248#6> is output to the PMC. If you
continue to use Power Mate i while this warning message was
displayed, it may raise a possibility to shorten the span of life. Renew
a fan, as soon as possible.
When both of the two fans stop, system alarm 978, “fan overheat
alarm”, will occur, and Power Mate i will stop with blink of “F.” on
7segment LED. When this alarm occurs, Power Mate i can not move
without renewal of fans.
