Below a numerical example on how to set workpiece coordinate
system data.

(1) Measure the diameter of the workpiece.
(2) Make the spindle rotate and touch with the tool the side
surface of the workpiece. Stop the spindle as soon as you
see the first chip.
(3) Input the measured value of the diameter (in this example
40.0) into the data area X coordinates, then push INPUT
(
) key.
(4) Push the SET button (The new X coordinate value of the
workpiece surface will be displayed on the upper left side of
the screen, in this example 40.0 will be displayed).
(6) Make the spindle rotate and touch with the tool the front
surface of the workpiece. Stop the spindle as soon as you
see the first chip.
(7) Chose the Z coordinate value of the front surface of the
workpiece (in this example 10) and insert the value into
input item Z.
(8) Push the SET button (The new Z coordinate value of the
workpiece surface will be displayed on the upper left side of
the screen, in this example 10.0 will be displayed).
