3.3 SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION
This section provides supplementary information about setting.
3.3.1 PROFIBUS Standard for Diagnostic Data
Diagnostic data consists of standard diagnostic data (the first 6 bytes)
and extended diagnostic data (7th byte and up). Extended diagnostic
data is defined uniquely by each slave station.
Standard diagnostic data is defined by the PROFIBUS standard, and
has the following meanings:
Standard diagnostic data
Item Description
STATION STATUS 1
(Size: 1 byte)
The state of a slave station is indicated.
Bit 7: Diag.Master_Lock
This bit indicates that the parameters of a
slave station are set by another master
station.
When the value of MASTER_ADDRESS is
neither 255 nor a value set by the master
station, this bit is set by the master station.
Bit 6: Diag.Prm_Fault
This bit is set by a slave station when
parameter data is incorrect.
Bit 5: Diag.Invalid_Slave_Response
When incorrect data is received from a
slave station, this bit is set by the master
station.
Bit 4: Diag.Not_Supported
When a slave station receives an
unsupported instruction, this bit is set by
the slave station.
Bit 3: Diag.Ext_Diag
When a slave station has extended
diagnostic data, this bit is set by the slave
station. With the master device of a CNC
manufactured by FANUC, up to 236 bytes
of extended diagnostic data can be
referenced.
Bit 2: Diag.Cfg_Fault
When configuration data does not match
the data possessed by a slave station, this
bit is set by the slave station.
Bit 1: Diag.Station_Not_Ready
When a slave station is not ready for data
transfer, this bit is set by the slave station.
Bit 0: Diag.Station_Non_Existent
When communication with a slave station
is disabled, this bit is set by the master
station.
