Unsolicited Message function

1. Overview

This additional manual explains the parameter settings and operations of a CNC side (Fast Ethernet

board/Fast DataServer) about Unsolicited Message function.

In the Unsolicited Message function, the message can be voluntarily notified from CNC to the

personal computer according to the instruction of the ladder program. So, in the PC application, the

state of CNC can be observed without the polling process. Arbitrary data of PMC can be transmitted

as the message. In the PC application, the polling process to inquire the state of CNC regularly

becomes unnecessary by using this function.

As for the programming of the PC application software, please refer to “FANUC Open CNC

FOCAS1/Ethernet CNC/PMC Data window library”.
