NOTE
When the arbitrary group number function is enabled, NEXT
GROUP, USING GROUP, and SELECTED GROUP are indicated by
arbitrary group numbers instead of tool group numbers.
- Explanation of (B)
The tool life setting, the current tool life counter value, and the registered tool numbers (in
the order of use of the tools) are displayed for each tool group. When the life count type is
the duration specification type, tool life settings and tool life counter values are displayed
and set in increments of a value set by bit 0 (FCO) of parameter No. 6805 as follows:
Bit 0 (FCO) of parameter No. 6805 0 1
Increment system for display and setting of life
value and tool life counter value
1 minute 0.1 minute
The meanings of the marks indicated before tool numbers are as follows:
Tool status Being used Not being used
Life has not expired. @ No indication
Skipped
# #
Life has expired
* *
NOTE
1 The tool life counter shows the count value for the tool marked with
"@".
2 If bit 3 (EMD) of parameter No. 6801 is set to 0, even when the life of
a tool has expired, the mark "@" does not disappear for the tool until
another tool is selected.
3 If bit 3 (EMD) of parameter No. 6801 is set to 1, the marks are
indicated in different ways depending on the life count type as
follows:
- When the life count type is the duration specification type, "*" (life
has expired) is indicated when the tool life has finished.
- When the life count type is the use count specification type, one
count is not assumed until the end of the program (M02, M30, and so
on). Therefore, even when the life value and the tool life counter
value match, the "*" mark (life has expired) does not appear.
The "*" mark (life has expired) appears when life counting is
performed for the tool again after the CNC is reset.
