2.1.2 Direct Input of Tool Offset Value
To set the difference between the tool reference position used in
programming (the nose of the standard tool, turret center, etc.) and the
tool nose position of a tool actually used as an offset value.

Procedure
- Setting of Z axis offset value
1 Cut surface A in manual mode with an actual tool.
Suppose that a workpiece coordinate system has been set.

2 Release the tool in X-axis direction only, without moving Z-axis
and stop the spindle.
3 Measure distance β from the origin in the workpiece coordinate
system to surface A.
Set this value as the measured value along the Z-axis for the
desired offset number, using the following procedure:
