As shown below, tools to be registered are assigned to tool management
numbers according to the type of machining.
101 to 149: Outer surface machining
201 to 249: End facing
301 to 349: Threading on the inner surface
401 to 449: End facing on the inner bottom
501 to 549: Grooving on the inner surface
601 to 649: Drilling
701 to 749: Center drilling
801 to 849: Side cutting
901 to 949: Reaming
151 to 199: Inner surface machining
251 to 299: Threading on the outer surface
451 to 499: Grooving on the outer surface
551 to 599: Grooving on the end surface
651 to 699: Tapping
751 to 799: End milling
851 to 899: Chamfering
951 to 999: Boring
Up to 40 or 99 tools can be registered in the tool data file.
The tool specified in the machining program coded in the conversational
mode is called a prepared tool. Mark @ is given to the left of the
management number of the prepared tool on the tool data screen. The
management number is displayed in reverse.
The selected tool post and tool direction for the prepared tool cannot be
changed.
