8.14 BACKGROUND EDITING

The editing of a program while another program is being executed or

edited is called background editing.

Background editing allows searching, editing, registration, and

deletion of programs in the same way as in ordinary editing

(foreground editing).

Starting background editing

Procedure

Method 1

(1) Follow the procedure described in Section II-10.1,

"Programs" to display the program text screen or program

directory screen.

(2) Press the [BACK EDIT] soft key.

(3) Press the [(PROG)#] soft key.

(4) Enter a program number.

(5) Press the [EXEC] soft key.

Method 2

(1) Follow the procedure described in Section II-10.1,

"Programs" to display the program text screen or program

directory screen.

(2) Press the [BACK EDIT] soft key.

(3) Press the address key.

(4) Enter a program number.

(5) Press the [EXEC] soft key.

Method 3
