B-63324EN-1/03 OPERATION 4.AUTOMATIC OPERATION
- 117 -
- Restart
When a program is edited while MDI operation is stopped, then the
program is restarted, the program execution starts from the cursor
position.
MDI operation program (for the FS16 type)
- Program erasure
A program created in MDI mode is erased when:
- M02, M30, or ER (%) is executed as part of MDI operation.
- If bit 6 (MZE) of parameter No. 2458 is set to 1, the last block in
the program has been executed in single block operation.
- Memory operation is performed.
- DNC operation is performed.
- Editing is performed in EDIT mode.
- If bit 7 (MCL) of parameter No. 2458 is set to 1, reset key
RESET
is
pressed.
- Address key
O
is input, then edit key
DELETE
is pressed.
NOTE
If bit 7 (MCL) of parameter No. 2458 is set to 0, a reset
operation performed during MDI operation does not
erase the program in MDI operation but clears the
modal information. When the following parameters
are set to 1, however, part of the modal information
can be maintained:
- Bit 7 (NCM) of parameter No. 2401: G00 to G03,
G17 to G19, and so forth
- Bit 5 (K43) of parameter No. 2409: G43 to G49 and
H code
- Bit 6 (KWZ) of parameter No. 2409: G54 to G59
- Program editing during operation
Program editing can be performed during MDI operation. If bit 5
(MZE) of parameter No. 2458 is set to 1, editing can be disabled until a
reset.
- Program registration
Programs created in MDI cannot be registered.
- Subprogram nesting
A subprogram call command (M98) can be specified in a program
created in MDI. This means that a program registered in memory can
be called and executed by MDI operation. Up to ten nesting levels are
allowed in a subprogram call.
- Macro call
If the custom macro option is provided, a macro program can be called
and executed in MDI mode.
