- ID SEARCH
Searches for programs using a program name. After the search, the
system switches to the program text screen.
(1) Click soft key [ID SEARCH]. The soft keys change as follows:
(2) Click soft key [(NAME)].
(3) Enter the character string used in the names of the programs to
search for, using the MDI keys. No limit is imposed on the
number of characters in the program name; however, the system
can search for only the first 48 characters of the program name.
(Example 1) To search for programs whose program names start
with the character string "SHAFT", enter
ID SEARCH >SHAFT*
(Example 2) To search for programs whose program names
include the character string "1000", enter
ID SEARCH >*1000*
(Example 3) To search for programs whose program names are
identical to "SHAFT-1000," enter
ID SEARCH >SHAFT-1000
The character string to be specified can contain wildcard
characters (* and ?). See "Explanation" for details.
(4) Click soft key [EXEC] to execute the search. After the search, the
system switches to the program text screen.
- Repetitive searches with the same program name
If wildcard characters (* and ?) are used in program names, repetitive
searches can be performed with the same program name. Clicking soft
key [REPEAT] shown under 1 above searches again for the previously
specified program name.
NOTE
A search is performed in the order of the numbers
managed by the CNC (not in the order of program
numbers).
If there are multiple matching programs, repetitive
searches must be made until the desired programs
are found.
- ID search on the program text screen
Soft key [ID SEARCH] can be used in the program text screen (in
MEM mode, EDIT mode, or background edit mode).
