12.16 SCREEN HARD COPY FUNCTION
The screen hard copy function converts screen information displayed
on the CNC to 640 x 480 dot bit map data, and outputs the resulting
data to a memory card. The output bit map data can be displayed and
edited on a personal computer.
Explanation
- Start/stop method
The screen hard copy is activated by holding down the
SHIFT
key for
five seconds or by setting the hard copy execution request signal
HCREQ <G177#7> from 0 to 1. It can be stopped by pressing the
CAN
key or by setting the hard copy stop request signal HCABT <G177#6>
signal to 1.
The hard copy in progress signal HCEXE <F177#7> remains set to 1
during screen hard copy. It returns to 0 upon the completion of copy.
When a request to stop screen hard copy is accepted, the hard copy stop
request accepted signal HCAB2 <F177#6> becomes 1 and remains so
until hard copy is restarted.
- Obtaining and outputting screen data
If parameter NDO (bit 6 of parameter No. 2240) = 0, screen data
acquisition begins when screen hard copy is activated. As soon as
screen data is obtained, it is output in bitmap format to the memory card
inserted in the LCD unit. If parameter NDO (bit 6 of parameter No.
2240) = 1, screen data acquisition is performed, but data output to the
memory card is not. The screen freezes for several seconds during
screen data acquisition. The acquired screen data can be output from
the memory card screen. The message
appears and blinks in the status message field during screen data
output.
- Screen data file names
The names of the screen data files in bitmap format created by this
function are as follows. These start with the name of the first one
created when the power is supplied.
"HDCPY000.BMP" (name of the first file output to the
memory card after the power is supplied)
"HDCPY001.BMP" (name of the second file output to the
memory card after the power is supplied)
:
:
"HDCPY999.BMP" (name of the 999th file output to the
memory card when the power is supplied)
