(1) Power Failure Backup Module is used with Servo Amplifier α series (except αHV series
and αSVU series). See “DESCRIPTIONS B-65162E/03” about the configuration of
Servo Amplifier α series.
(2) Sub Module C is necessary for Retract function. The number of Sub Module C
necessary for this function varies with the configuration of the machine.
See “How to define the number of Sub Module C (B-65162E/03-04)”.
(3) Sub Module R is necessary for Stop Distance Reduction Function. The number of Sub
Module R necessary for this function varies with the configuration of the machine.
See “4. HOW TO SELECT SUB MODULE”.
(4) The modified PSM is necessary for Power Failure Backup Module (with control power
backup function). See “2.2 Ordering Information”.
(5) Using Retract Function in Power Failure, Supplement Capacitor Unit is necessary for
Power Failure Backup Module (with control power backup function).
See “8.1 Function Description (5)”.
(6) After the power failure occurs, DC voltage is supplied to the control power input from
DC link. So it is necessary that the equipment connected to this Power Failure Backup
Module permits DC voltage input. The maximum capacity to supply to control power
from this Power Failure Backup Module is 700VA except supplying to PSM(300VA).
