The parameters described below must be set up to use an I/O unit interface
(RS–232–C serial port) or memory card interface for inputting and
outputting data (such as programs and parameters) between external
input/output units and memory cards.
The I/O CHANNEL setting parameter is used to select a desired
input/output unit by specifying the channel (RS–232–C serial port 1 or
RS–232–C serial port 2) to which the input/output unit is connected.
The same setting is made when using the memory card interface.
The specified data, such as a baud rate and the number of stop bits, of an
input/output device connected to a specific channel of I/O device interface
must be set in parameters for that channel in advance.
For channel 1, two combinations of parameters to specify the input/output
device data are provided.
The following shows the interrelation between the input/output device
interface parameters for the channels of I/O device interface.
